"
"Birds that soar .... but without wings."

Aeroslider is a Vehicle exploration game where the player need to traverse a stage collecting upgrades for their vehicle in order to beat other players in various challenges at the end of each round."

The production of "Aeroslider" was for my CAPSTONE in my senior year. We decided to build off a prototype and create something from it. One did most of the programming and another was in charge of character modeling and art. My role was more focused on level design and 3D modeling for this game. I created both the map and some of the models (roads, trees, crane, etc.) using the assets provided by Unity3D. After the basic mechanics were finished, I started designing updated models in Maya. At the moment, I was only able to get the crane finished.

In my honest opinion, we could have done a lot better. Despite working with people I'm friends with, we practically broke all of the team game design rules during production. We didn't communicate as much as we should and procrastinated too much. I'm not saying that working with friends is a bad idea, but I learned that even if we're friends, we shouldn't have neglected our milestone goals for the game. We did get our act together eventually and put all our focus to do as much as we can for the game. Despite the setbacks, this didn't really ruin my enjoyment of being in a team, but it did teach me how to be a better team member.
